Wildflower Walks

Now is the time to enjoy the wild flowers in Auburn State Recreation Area. This is a photo of a white lupin, against some California poppies. It is fun to learn the names of the flowers, but it doesn't really matter if you know them. Just take a walk and draw a few or take photos of them.

Here are some flowers you can look for:

The largest flower
The smallest flower
A flower that has a face
A flower that attracts butterflies
A flower that attracts bumblebees
The yellowest flower
The most beautiful flower.

If you do take a flower walk, post a comment on the blog and I will send you a photo of a flower if you leave your email address.
